Classic Berry Pavlova
I’m constantly on the search for new and exciting dessert recipes. I’ve wholeheartedly vowed to give every sugary confection an equal opportunity to win over my taste buds. I recently purchased the Meringue cookbook, and it introduced my to a whole new fascinating world of delicate deliciousness. The Classic Berry Pavlova was the first I tried, and at this point it looks like the rest of March may be spent baking my way through the book. Who needs other food groups when something tastes this amazing?

Friday is always a fabulous day in my book, and it’s going to be an extra special one this week. I have a dear friend coming in from out of town that I will be hosting. I love having weekends like this to look forward to, and I’ve been carefully selecting activities and restaurants, wine versus champagne and anticipating some serious girl time. Wishing each and every one of you an amazing weekend filled with family and friends.

I have become obsessed with print blouses as of late. I reach for them in my closet no matter what the occasion. Finding a piece that allows you so much wear is rare these days, and I can’t say enough about a classic button down in a colorful print fabric.
Look 1 – Sunday BrunchWhat I love most about a print blouse is its ease of wear when dressing it down. You literally can throw on your trusty old denim, a fabulous scarf, a pair of flats and head out the door to brunch.
Look 2 – After Work DrinksDon’t let the ease of dressing down this gorgeous blouse sway you from thinking you can’t wear it to work. Tucked in to a pencil skirt, or paired with dark denim on casual Friday, this look can easily go from day to night.
Look 3 – Saturday Date NightFor those of you that don’t believe a button down blouse can be sexy, think again. Pairing a blouse with a scandalously tasteful short skirt with rolled up sleeves and a fabulous pair of pumps is all you need to get that perfect date night look.
A Bit of Brown

It always seems like old rules are being broken in fashion and new ones are being built. Somewhere along the way I had heard that black and brown shouldn’t be seen together. Thank goodness that isn’t the case anymore, because I love the combo of the two. With everyone getting along it means that you don’t have to worry about pairing those beautiful brown boots with your black pants. The possibilities are endless, and now, all of a sudden, so is your wardrobe. Okay, your wardrobe may not be endless, but it certainly has many more options.

In an effort to keep things fresh around here my blogging buddy/ Centre Street Style photographer and I have been playing around in the studio. It helps capture the details in certain outfits, like the sequins and print in this skirt and layered top ensemble. Despite the enormous amounts of snow, I can feel that spring is around the corner, and my skirts and dresses want some airtime. To help ease these pieces into rotation I pair my skirts with tights and closed toe pumps. Next step, bare legs and open toes.
