Sweater Check
Theory Sweater, Alice + Olivia Skirt, Stuart Weitzman Booties, Proenza Schoeler Handbag (similar here), Wolford Nylons, Hermes Watch, David Yurman Bracelet
Fall is by far my favourite fashion season, and with chunky sweaters, skirts with tights, and abundance of layering options, truly, what’s not to love? I ventured into the newly opened Nordstrom with some of my main ladies, and came away with this fabulously cozy sweater. There are so many ways to wear sweaters this fall, but my fav may just be with skirts and booties. I have a feeling that this piece is going to be on heavy repeat this autumn.
Dressed Up Sweats
AIKO Sweatshirt, Club Monaco Skirt, Gianvito Rossi Pumps, Chanel Handbag, Kate Spade Earrings, Hermes Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Tiffany Bracelet
I love the idea of mixing casual with fancy. The juxtaposition of the two is always fun to bounce off one another, and let’s be honest, sometimes the idea of a completely fussy outfit is too much to get through the day. Pairing my intricate rosette skirt with a casual sweatshirt meant a mix of comfy and classy, and that’s a combination I’d be more than happy to don again.
Lace Favorites
Self-Portrait Dress (similar here and here), Loeffler Randall Oxfords (similar here), Tiffany Earrings
I’ve talked about my love of dresses time and time again. But every now and again you come across a dress that rises to the top of your favourites list and stays there for a significant period of time. I spotted this beauty online and when I couldn’t shake my initial lust, even after allowing myself a couple of weeks to get over it, I knew that it was love. The details of this dress are what makes it so special, the lace, the collar, the waistband. It can stand on it’s own, without having to worry about which accessories to pair with it. High heels or flats, you’re in luck, it looks fab with both. I’ll stop gushing here, although I could go on for days.
Crop Sweater
Equipment Blouse (similar here), J Crew Sweater, Vince Leather Skirt (similar here), Christian Louboutin Booties (similar here), Celine Handbag, J Crew Necklace (similar here), Hermes Watch, Kate Spade Bracelet, David Yurman Bracelet, Tiffany Earrings
Of all of the trends happening this fall, the cropped sweater may just be my favourite. While we saw all colours and shapes of crop tops this summer, not everyone wants to walk around baring stomach skin, myself included. That’s what’s so fabulous about the crop sweater for fall. We all have a closet full of blouses and tees that make for a perfect base layer beneath a short sweater. With endless outfit options, what more could you ask for from a trend that has staying power?
