As we’re officially into December, I feel as though I can now openly talk about my excitement for the holiday season. With so many wonderful Christmas activities planned with so many amazing individuals, this is by far my favourite time of year. I love that I get to don my sequins and brocade without fear of ‘overdressing’. I love that my evenings will be filled with fireplaces, friends, family and festive treats, and I love that this time of year gives you the opportunity to let your loved ones know just how much they mean to you.
Turkey Cake Pops
I wanted to take a moment to wish all of my amazing American friends a truly blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! In honour of a day spent alongside friends and family I thought I would post the turkey cake pops that I created, just in time for the holiday. While food is a huge part of all of my holiday celebrations, these days it’s the time spent with those I love most that fills my heart. I wish you all a safe and joyful Thanksgiving, wherever it is you may be celebrating.

I recently went on vacation with the fam jam down to California, and no trip is truly complete without a multiple trips to Disneyland. With a ratio of 4-1 (that would be adults to kids), we got to see Disney in all of its Christmas glory. I made sure to take advantage of the warm weather to pull out dresses, shorts and skirts that are no longer an option in chilly YYC. This print dress has been in constant rotation since I purchased it, the classic shape and style paired with it’s whimsical print makes it appropriate for almost every occasion.

The cold has moved in and brought with it the feelings of the holidays. I don’t mind the arctic atmosphere when the anticipation of my favourite season comes with it. I tend to embark on the holiday season a bit earlier than most, and this year will be no different. I love opening the boxes I packed away almost a year ago and rediscovering each decoration one by one. I love recalling the past memories of the holiday, the ones spent in Edmonton and Vancouver, and now in Calgary. I’m not sure what you’ll all be doing this coming weekend, but I think it’s pretty clear what I’ll be getting up to.
