New Year’s Eve Ensembles
New Year’s Eve is one sleep away, and with so much anticipation placed on a single evening, the last thing one should have to worry about is one’s ensemble. Fret not lovely ladies, I’ve put together a last minute inspiration guide of what-to-wear. Don’t feel as though you’re required to run out and buy something new, sometimes pairing old favourites in a new way is all that’s needed to create an outfit that will wow the crowd. So get in that closet and pull out all of that sequin, feathery, glitter goodness and go to town, literally.

Alice + Olivia Dress (similar here), Gabriella Nylons (c/o Time For Tights), Saint Laurent Pumps (similar here), Chanel Handbag, Prada Coat (similar here, here, and here), Swarovski Bracelets, Swarovski Earrings
The presents have been opened, the sugar cookies inhaled eaten, and the last of the decorations have been stowed away. It was an incredible Christmas spent with a glorious group of individuals. Thankfully though, I won’t have to worry about going into withdrawal from dress-up detox, as New Year’s Eve is right around the corner. Stay tuned for tips and tricks for jazzing up your New Year’s Eve ensembles.
Off Duty
AIKO Sweatshirt, Alice + Olivia Leather Leggings (similar here and here), Topshop Coat (similar here), Gianvito Rossi Pumps, Proenza Schouler Handbag (similar here)
I can hardly believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve. How is it that a month’s time of prep and anticipation seems to disappear into thin air, leaving you pondering, where did the time go? I’m so looking forward to the next two days of enjoying the those things that are most important. Until then I will be racing around knocking off the last couple of items on my to-do list, warming up my stomach for two straight days of deliciousness, and finishing up those cookies for moi Santa.
Shirt Dress
Tory Burch Dress (on sale), Alice + Olivia Coat, Wolford Nylons, ASOS Bow Tie (similar here), American Apparel Socks, Burberry Boots, Chanel Handbag, Coach Leather Gloves (similar here), Hermes Watch, Kate Spade Bracelet, David Yurman Bracelet
I’ve always had a thing for shirt dresses (seen here and here and here), but this Tory Burch version takes the cake. I love that you can style this dress as though it was a dress shirt, think bow ties and chunky necklaces, but you don’t have to fuss with what goes on the bottom. It also makes for a great layering piece, which in this chilly YYC climate makes it so much more versatile. I can’t wait to style it with a long chunky sweater and a fabulous pair of booties. I love when I have options.
Gift Guide – For the Host
With Christmas only nine days away, there’s a good chance that you’ll be attending some sort of gathering, party, or dinner within that time. As someone who hosts often, I understand the prep, the work and the pride that goes into putting on an event. And while the presence of the individuals means more than anything, a little gesture of appreciation is ALWAYS well received. I’ve scoured the internet and found some amazing options that go above and beyond a traditional bottle of wine or bouquet of flowers. The great thing is many of these items are still available to ship to you before Christmas, and won’t break the bank.
