Jumpsuit Joy
Mason by Michelle Mason Jumpsuit, Aritzia Camisole, Burberry Coat (similar here), Saint Laurent Pumps, Alexander Wang Handbag, Shinola Watch, Tiffany Bracelet, Tiffany Necklace
In what has unofficially become Office-Wear week here on Centre Street Style, I’m including what I’ve deemed a brilliant work wear choice. I initially bought this fabulous Mason jumpsuit for the holidays, to mix it up and don amidst all of the sequins and cocktail dresses. However, when paired with a camisole to cover up the plunging neckline, it instantly goes from winter formal to chic office attire. Let’s never assume there is only one function for an item of clothing again. Lesson learned.
Lace Blazer
Club Monaco Blouse (similar here), Alice + Olivia Jacket (similar here, here and here), Club Monaco Skirt (similar here), Dolce & Gabbana Belt, Wolford Nylons, Charlotte Olympia Pumps, Alexander Wang Handbag, J.Crew Earrings, Shinola Watch
For 2015 I’m challenging myself to take on new experiences, whatever they may be. First up, office temp for the next week in downtown Calgary. I have to say, for a creative spirit like myself, being confined to an office for eight hours a day without a sewing machine, drawing materials or anything fashion related, made me wonder why I had signed up for such a thing. And then I thought about all of the killer office ensembles I could wear, and the rest is history.
Game Day Gear
Touch Apparel by Alyssa Milano Shirt, Seahawks Jersey, Rag & Bone Denim, New Balance Sneakers, Celine Handbag, Shinola Watch, Tiffany Earrings
I had the pleasure of heading out West to cheer on the Seattle Seahawks in their first playoff game this past weekend. It was an incredible game, and the atmosphere was electric. It’s always tough attending sporting events, knowing what to wear. I hate filling my closet with items that are specific to one use only, and sports gear typically falls into that category. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was when Alyssa Milano started designing her Touch Apparel line. Imagine, fan apparel that’s not only designed and drafted for a woman, but is stylish enough to pull out with sneaks and ripped jeans, even when your team isn’t on the field. Needless to say I’ve stocked up, and I’m all set with a fresh look for this coming weekend to cheer on my boys.
Faux Fur Topper
J.Crew Turtleneck, Rag & Bone Coated Legging Jeans, Aritzia Coat (similar here, here and here), Stuart Weitzman Boots, Agnelle Gloves (similar here), Chanel Handbag, J.Crew Necklace, Shinola Watch (different colour here), David Yurman Bracelet
It’s back to the grind, and I have to admit, I’ve had some trouble finding my way back to a rhythm. The weather has not been aiding my struggle, as freezing temperatures have kept me snuggled up indoors. The positive side of being curled up next to the fire on a snow day is all of the planning and masterminding that I’ve been able up to. I have so many wonderful concepts for Centre Street Style and I’m so excited to share them with you all along the way. So stay tuned, 2015 is going to be the best yet.
Glam Winter Weather Wears
Aritzia Sweater (similar here), Wilfred by Aritzia Leggings (similar here, here and here), Mason by Michelle Mason Coat (different colour here), Prada Booties (similar here), Celine Handbag, Hermes Watch, David Yurman Bracelet
The weather in YYC has been up to it’s usually tricks, presenting us with frosty temperatures before drastically warming up. I’m not complaining, we’ve had a fairly mild winter so far, so much so that my winter wears have been requesting some play time. Chunky turtlenecks, fur booties, and oversized overcoats are my go-to for a glam winter ensemble. Changing out the heels for boots and the faux leather leggings for it’s cotton equivalent lets me go from glam to après ski in the blink of an eye.
