One week left until the first day of school, and while I tend to overstate how quickly times passes, I wholeheartedly am not ready for summer break to end. We’re away this week, enjoying some time together, lazy mornings, daily swims, easy summer reads. It’s the ideal getaway before the chaos of school and hockey begin. If Fall wasn’t my favourite, this would easily be my least loved time of year, but I can’t wait for the cooler temps, the changing of the leaves, the fresh start that Autumn brings with it.
This may very well be the last summer that empire waist, puffy sleeve, midi dresses are “in”, but I will be wearing this dress past it’s pre-determined expiry date. I love the soft print, I love the muted colours, and I love that I can eat to my hearts content without having to undo any buttons post meal. As we approach fall, I look forward to styling and wearing this dress in a cooler weather way. I envision throwing on an oversized blazer and pairing with a great pair of sneakers for an easy transitional ensemble. I’ll be sure to share all of the details when I do!
