Zara Blazer, AGOLDE Denim, Aquazzura Mules, Chanel Handbag

The weather has been on our side, more days than not have been spring-like and uplifting. It coincides with the feelings of hopefulness that I feel every time I hear a loved one of mine or someone else getting vaccinated. As someone who has spent the last year living in isolation to keep myself and my loved ones healthy, diligently following the health orders, I’m reaching an extreme level of Covid fatigue, one that I’m confident many are also experiencing. As we slowly pack up at the lake and prepare to move back to Calgary this summer, I’m making plans with friends (all of whom I have not spent time with in person, for over a year) for some outdoor fun. And it is literally what’s keeping me going.

I purchased this blazer a couple of years ago and it’s still holding up in both quality and style. Oversized blazers are incredibly flattering, can be worn as I have, against a tee and denim, or dressed up over top a sheath dress or skirt and blouse. I love that it doesn’t feel tight or restrictive, as my body has spent the better part of a year in stretchy sweats, I have to ease back in to proper clothing. Until then though, if it’s not stretchy I’m aiming for oversized, comfort is a must these days.
