There’s always a moment I experience, every September, where I’m outside, and the chill of the air, a fallen leaf on the still green grass, or the early sunset gives me a complete feeling of invigoration. I can’t actually put into words how much I love this time of year, or pin down the feeling I get from it, but I can say with all certainty, it’s my favourite. It’s giving me all the motivational feels that have definitely been lacking since the Covid showed up. I’m hoping to take advantage and cross items off my to-do list that have been sitting there for far too long.
I believe I mentioned already that this summer I was very, VERY into the denim shorts and blazer look. Lie, I did not. This is the fourth post this summer with that specific combination, and I’m not sorry for it. I’m not sure if it’s because I finally cleared out my old summer bottoms (I literally, sold all of my old shorts on Poshmark) and purchased some fresh options that I’m absolutely in love with. I love that once you take the blazer off, it instantly makes the ensemble a touch more casual, and nothing about this look feels fussy or high maintenance. Full disclosure, I didn’t have one social outing this summer that would have warranted this level of ‘dress up’, but I have high hopes for the next one.
