September is here and while Labor Day isn’t until this coming weekend, the weather has changed, seemingly overnight, and those warm quiet days are being filled with crisp, breezy ones. Isn’t it simultaneously absurd and amazing that you can step outside one day, and the feel of the air is just different? I think this is why this time of year is my favorite. It’s as if the universe is issuing a fresh start, welcoming change, and encouraging us to do the same. This time of year has always sparked change and motivation in myself, it’s always been my unofficial start of the year in a way New Year’s never will be.
For the first time in years I’m actually dreading packing up my shorts and bringing out the winter wear. It’s been years, since before kids, 2015 to be accurate, since I had fun playing dress up in the summer, and the whole shorts and blazer look has hands down been my favourite. How cute would this ensemble be for a night out for drinks or dinner. Paired with one of my most treasured pairs of heels, which were last photographed here. Monotone outfits are one of my fav looks there’s just something so sleek about wearing one colour head to toe. While I didn’t get a chance to wear this little number out this summer, I have high hopes for a less Covid-filled summer next year, when it will be on repeat.
