As summer is closing out we’ve been blessed with a heat wave that makes it feel like fall isn’t just around the corner. We’ve taken advantage and spent as much time as possible in the lake, walking around town to watch the construction sites and living in the sandbox. Days like the last few we’ve had have felt more like typical summer days of the past, and less like we’re navigating the summer during a pandemic.
I’m loving the look of pairing shorts and a blazer, it is hands down what I would be wearing to every single outing of a non-covid summer. I did get a chance to wear this little ensemble while house hunting, (proof that I have actually left the house a handful of times), and it felt glorious. I love that the blazer itself is what elevates the ensemble, as the base is a simple combination of denim shorts and a tee. This blush pink blazer is one of my most favourite, and I’ve worn it on the blog before in a more office appropriate way. I’m crossing my fingers that next summer will look different, and I’ll be able to meet friends for dinner and drinks, donning my blazer and shorts.
